MotivateMe! Quote 12/31/19

“People are very open-minded about new things – as long as they’re exactly like the old ones.” ~Charles Kettering

Connie says, "Great humor, and so much truth, in this quote! Change scares us! And yet, we all know that if nothing changes, nothing changes. So, as I learned many years ago, if something is going to be helpful to us, 'feel the fear and do it anyway!' Get help making those positive changes that will lead you to where you want to be in life! You CAN!"

MotivateMe! Quote 12/24/19

"If you do what you always did, you will get what you always got." --Anonymous.

Connie says, "If you are pleased with the results you're looking for, by all means, keep DO-ing the things that resulted in those results. If you aren't pleased with the results you've gotten by doing what you've been doing (or not doing), the great news is, you can make the CHOICE to DO things differently (hopefully, an improved way) and you can bet you'll see improved results."

MotivateMe! Quote 12/17/19

“This one step – choosing a goal and sticking to it – changes everything.” ~Scott Reed

Connie says, "An awesome goal that is easy to do, realistic and measurable (as all good goals are) and will help you make many significant positive changes in your life is to set the goal to say to yourself at least 8 times throughout the day, "I choose health." Repeating this mantra throughout the day will literally move you in the direction of healthy living. This is because we move in the direction of our most dominant thought. (That, by the way, is the reason positive self-talk is so important.) Repeating "I choose health" will make it easier to walk past the vending machine without hearing it call to you, will make it easier to resist the treats in the break room, and cause you to reconsider walking down the cookie aisle at the grocery store. Similarly, when you regularly remind yourself that you "choose health," you will find yourself being more physically active and who knows, maybe even exercising on a regular basis?"

MotivateMe! Quote 11/26/19

“There are only two options regarding commitment; you’re either in or you’re out. There’s no such thing as  life in-between.” ~Pat Riley.

Connie says, "This is my kind of firm and fair statement. If you have made a commitment to healthy living, healthy eating, exercise or if you've made a commitment to a relationship or a job or taking the kids to a movie, then do the things it takes to follow through with your commitment, including asking for help if you need it. Otherwise, your commitment means nothing but empty words." What commitment to your health will you follow through with today?
